We are required to obtain approval from an Ethics Committee for all trials and research we undertake. In respect of personal information that is collected during clinical trials, we obtain detailed consents from the trial participant or from their next of kin. We support, promote and comply with all applicable privacy legislation and regulations, including the Privacy Act, the Health Records Act 2001 (Cth) and the Health Privacy Principles.
Transferring data outside Australia
We may transfer your personal information to someone who is outside Australia, but only in accordance with the Privacy Act and only if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the recipient of the information is subject to a law that will ensure that the personal information is protected.
